Kids love campfires, marshmallows, swimming, sleepovers, nature and all the fun of summer. Camp is a perfect time to roll that all into one experience. It’s a great way to be about God’s creation. We will travel together by bus to and from camp. Your child will stay in a cabin with Camp Counselors, do bible adventures with Ketti, art with Andrea and campfires with Pastor Aaron. This is a fun and safe way to introduce your elementary kids to bible camp! Ketti, Andrea and Pastor Aaron will be on site, at camp, the whole time!

Open to youth entering, 6th Grade the fall of 2020. Middle school is a huge new step in the life of your 6th grader! So, our program theme is POSITIVE I.D. and was written and designed by Andrea Fieldhouse-Griner, taking into account all of the “goings on” of a new middle schooler. Self definition is a huge task of this age and our world has a lot to say about that. The best part is we know that God has even more to say!!! So 6th graders will be “talking” their story & God’s story, and mixing it up with art, drama, bible study, games, music and plenty of fun and laughter to make sure we are working towards a Positive I.D.

This camp is about how to care for others! How to recognize when others hurt, how to reach out a helping hand, how to recognize when and if someone needs more help than a kind heart can offer. When we are not swimming, playing, eating and sleeping, we will be working in parallel programs. Young people who attend for the first time will be in Track 1 of EveryDay Samaritan which starts with “beginning” care skills! Those who attended last year and return will be in Track 2 of our Program. Track 2 works on increased skill and specifics issues involved in caring for others and walking along side those whose hearts are broken. Of course, campfires, late night talks, new friends and s’mores are part of each day’s fun!

High Schoolers will have the opportunity to connect with the younger members of Mount Calvary and be involved in a program designed especially with them in mind. We will be playing in the sacred! Jesus teaches us “Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace,” in Matthew 11:29 Through varies experiences in God’s creation, with time away, we will learn ways of seeing and experiencing the movement of God in their own lives and the world.

Senior High Students Travel

Whether we immerse ourselves into unfamiliar situations or we provide service work for others, mission trips give opportunity for life-changing, enriching education and fun for youth. Through our mission of faithfully serving others, we build long lasting bridges with our neighbors that reach far beyond our borders. Not only do our mission trips give way to service, but they help facilitate relationships through faith that last long after our participants come home! Our mission trips make memories that help shape our youth into the next generation of change!

Fundraising Expectation. It is expected that each attendee participate in fundraising. If unable to participate, an extra payment will be required.
