The Power of WE
As your senior pastor for three full years now, I can say without a doubt that this is the friendliest and most welcoming congregation that I have ever encountered.
As an election polling place, we’ve had many community members in and out of our building this fall. Last month, one of the election judges stopped me and paid me a compliment that I want to share with all of you because it’s really a compliment for all of us. He said, “Pastor, you’ve got quite a church here. There is something electric and alive going. There is a great feeling, and I just feel welcomed!” Church! Way to go! I’m so proud of the community WE have cultivated!
This fall we are inviting all people who call Mount Calvary home to consider worshipping with us 75% of the time this fall through Christmas! This challenge fits with our Stewardship Theme of WE ARE COMMUNITY TOGETHER!
- We are committed to making worship so excellent that you will not want to miss it!
- We believe wholeheartedly that WE are built for community!
- We believe that God has something to say to you!
- And we believe that WE are incomplete without you!
We are extending this 75% idea even further. If you have pledged before, we are inviting you to consider increasing your pledge by 7.5 % for 2025. If WE all did this together, the impact WE can make together would be grace up grace upon grace to others!
If you are new to pledging, please consider making a huge impact on ministry WE can only do when we all do it together. Every gift of $75, $175, $1,750 makes an enormous difference!
As you pray about your pledge and give thanks for God’s grace upon grace perhaps you are being asked to give more that 7.5%? Pray and respond enthusiastically!
Included his a pledge card and return envelope, please mail or bring to church anytime during October.
For some of us this is an exciting endeavor. For some, this particular time has perhaps been difficult. If you are experiencing difficulties, please know that your church is here for you. We are church together. We are better together. And in this church, there is not “us” and “them.” There is only WE. Together.
With great love,
Pastor Kyle
