2022 – 2023 CONFIRMATION
Our Purpose.
Confirmation is an amazing part of a person’s faith journey, a time for exploring, discovering, learning, questioning, growing and deepening in relationship with God and God’s people. We have designed our program so that each of our children, in their own way, can claim:
I am a beloved child of God. I belong to the family of God. I make a difference in God’s world. I am a part of God’s story. We pray that our young people discover and embrace a lifelong journey of loving and being loved by God.
Whether you are entering as a 6th grader or older, there is a place for you here at Mount Calvary.
6TH GRADERS
The 6th Grade is facilitated by Andrea Fieldhouse-Griner, Director of Family and Youth Ministry, focusing on our identity as Lutheran Christians and developing spiritual practices as a family.
7TH GRADERS
Using a curriculum specially designed with your children in mind, 7th graders use large group worship and small group time to connect God’s story and their own everyday stories. We will trace our Christian ancestry from Creation to Jesus and from Jesus to Today.
8TH GRADERS
Using a curriculum specially designed with your children in mind, 8th graders use large group worship and small group time to connect God’s story and their own everyday stories. We will trace our Christian ancestry from Creation to Jesus and from Jesus to Today.

We hope everyone is geared up for a season of expansion for our Middle School friends of Mount Calvary! We’ve already kicked off our new Middle School Youth Group (MSYG) on Sunday afternoons, but now we have something even bigger to share! Save the date because March 31-April 2 marks our first overnight opportunity since pre COVID. Expect games, crafts, campfires, s’mores, and a chance to celebrate God’s creation at the beautiful Green Lake Lutheran Camp. Transportation is provided. We leave Friday, March 31rst at 6:00 sharp and we will arrive back at Mount Calvary around 1:30 on April 2nd.
Confirmation classes meet each Wednesday evening throughout the school year. All grades start the evening in large group in the sanctuary at 6:15, followed by small groups at 6:45.
