Confirmation classes meet each Wednesday evening throughout the school year. All grades start the evening in large group in the sanctuary at 6:15, followed by small groups at 6:45.
The concept of confirmation has been central to the Lutheran faith since it began with Martin Luther and his small catechism. For you as parents, this journey began when your children were baptized and you made promises to bring them to worship, provide for their instruction in the Christian faith, teach them the Holy Scripture and serve as their Christian example.
Confirmation is a continuation of these promises and the faith journey on which your student embarked. Our goal is to provide an enthusiastic, authentic and faithful confirmation program that engages students’ hearts, minds and souls and informs their actions as children of Christ.
We look forward to partnering with you on this journey, learning together and providing a safe, nurturing place to explore God’s promises. For additional information regarding the confirmation program, please contact Brenda Lund.
Here at Mount Calvary Children attend worship with their families and are then dismissed to Sunday School after the children’s story during worship. From there they either go right across the way to the preschool wing or they head upstairs to the elementary wing. They will be greeted and welcomed by trained Sunday School teachers. From there they will engage in a variety of activities and lessons all center around a bible story and or central theme. Our Sunday School curriculum begins at age three and ends at the end of fifth grade.
We understand that life is busy and chaotic especially with littles, please come to any service anytime once you are registered. If you have questions regarding registrations or curriculum contact Ketti Spehar.
