LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICE
Each year, LSS of MN makes thousands of contacts and provides youth experiencing homelessness with the resources they need to launch into productive, healthy, and independent lives. His House Foundation (HHF) is a non-profit 501c3, community-based human service agency. Our foundation serves our community by providing direct services to families in need and serves as a catalyst for increased sharing within our community. We serve southwest Hennepin County, Carver County, and parts of Scott County.
LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY NIGERIA
This year donations to our Nigerian Giving Tree will go to support the Minneapolis Area Synod’s funds drive for financial backing for the new Lutheran University Nigeria. A number of years ago, MCLC was a major contributor of funding for a medical clinic in northeastern Nigeria. The clinic is now thriving and has donated land adjacent to their property on which to build a new Lutheran University for Nigerian students. The synod is seeking $500,000 in congregational donations to ensure the stability of this endeavor. Click here for more information on this important project.
