…and Jesus said,

Go & Do LIKEWISE.

Mount Calvary Mission + Outreach

LOOKING TO GET INVOLVED?

Acting on Jesus’ call for us to “go and do likewise” (Luke 10:37) in proclaiming God’s generous and infinite love for all people, Mount Calvary calls each of us to serve God and our neighbors throughout the world. When we answer that call, the good news of the Gospel comes alive, moves mountains, and changes the world!

Through Mount Calvary and our mission partnerships we are able to be God’s hands and feet locally and abroad from Malawi to Guatemala. Look below and find ways to get involved at Mount Calvary! If you have questions please email Zach Osmundson.

UPCOMING OUTREACH EVENTS

Kitchen and Hygiene Bags for Families

The Need: Kitchen & Hygiene Bags for families receiving food through an underground delivery network.

What’s Needed:

  • Dish soap
  • Sponge
  • Trash bags
  • 1 roll of paper towels
  • Bar of soap
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste
  • Small bottle of liquid laundry detergent ONLY Please no pods, powder or sheets.
  • 4-6 pack of toilet paper

Why These Items: These basic kitchen and hygiene essentials help families maintain dignity and health in their homes. Laundry detergent is especially critical since many apartments lack washing machines, making clean clothes a significant challenge.

How to Help: A complete kit costs about $40, but you don’t have to supply a whole kit—just pick a few items and donate what you can! Please bring any of these items to Church Office. The bags will be assembled from donations and distributed to families every other week.

Items or full bags can be dropped off anytime and we will make sure they get to families.

Looking for More Ways to Help? If you’re interested in assembling kits or want to get more involved, please email Zach.osmundson@mountcalvary.org.

Join our Called to Justice Team as we follow Christ’s example of radical care and compassion for the world and all who are in it. Because Jesus cared for all, we too are called to care for all, regardless of class, politics, orientation, or gender. • COMMUNITY MEAL

Serve up a hearty helping of love.

The last Thursday of every month, Mount Calvary invites everyone to share a meal together as a community of friends. From 4:30-6pm, we offer a sit down meal in Luther Hall meant for anyone and everyone. Come and meet someone new or connect with some you haven’t seen in a while! Contact us at zach.osmundson@mountcalvary.org to RSVP, donate or volunteer.

  • GREETER MINISTRY

Welcome people to their new home at Mount Calvary.

A visitor takes an average of 2 minutes to decide if they feel welcome in a new space. Each weekend at Mount Calvary brings new faces and we want every person to feel the welcoming love of Christ. Please sign up to share the warmth of our welcome any weekend you plan to be at services.
Arrive 20 minutes prior to worship, grab a “Greeter” name tag from the office, and then be a welcoming presence as folks arrive. Simple but invaluable.  Click here to access the sign up!
